About

Around the age of 15, Philippe discovered "Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young" and in particular Neil Young through his original first albums such as "Harvest" and "After the gold rush". A turning point for Philippe... Neil Young's music and lyrics, his unsophisticated approach to pop-rock-folk, with his guitars and vocals, that were so close to his own sensibility, inspired Philippe to go further in the musical adventure. While composing his own songs, Philippe decided to study classical guitar at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels.

He then embarked on a variety of classical music activities, including the creation of the “Trio Torres” (2 CD albums) and the festival "Le Kaléidoscope de la guitare", as well as the production of numerous CD albums for young or experienced artists.

After turning 50, he returned to his “first love” and initiated a project of acoustic concerts entitled “Tribute to Neil Young”, covering the years 68 to 78, with the release in 2010 of the CD “About Neil...” with Phil-Pat-Jeff. This was followed by three albums featuring his own compositions: in 2015, "Madras Lovers" and in 2017, "Somewhere Old Somewhere Young" by Philippe Bruno & Homeland Band, then, in November 2019, "A Long Way to Go" - Acoustic Light. As a logical continuation of his previous album, "50 Years Ago" was released at the end of 2021.
